ABSTRACT
This chapter sets out the issues surrounding the establishment of a school council and associated year councils and the mechanisms through which this can be achieved. The formal extraction of the citizenship learning that the working of the school council will prompt should be simple and can be done using reflection at tutor and year group meetings.
