ABSTRACT
There are few things less attractive to a teenager than the procedural details of the parliamentary system and few things more exciting than participation in decision-making. It follows, therefore, that young people will understand democratic processes and appreciate democratic responsibilities much more if they can be part of them rather than being taught about them.
