## ABSTRACT

Note that our rule may be used in both directions; that is, if the sum of the digits is divisible by 3, then the original number is divisible by 3, and if the sum of the digits is not divisible by 3, then the original number is not divisible by 3. This is called an if and only if relationship in mathematics. We should now try to classify our problem further. If we classify things as either proofs (which is what Poly a deals with primarily) or analysis problems, this certainly falls into the class of proofs.
