ABSTRACT
This chapter is a short practical introduction to photometry. Light is unexpectedly difficult to measure accurately, especially on site, so what follows are guidelines for recording illuminance, luminance and reflectance. In addition it gives an outline of the performance of luminaires tested in a laboratory. The accuracy of measurements is discussed in Chapter 7.
