ABSTRACT
The writing-across-the-curriculum movement has made college teachers aware of their shared responsibility to help students develop writing skills, and thus has inspired many of us to include writing in the courses we teach. The challenge is to develop ways to integrate writing assignments into a course in such a way that they enrich course content and help students with writing, but do not place an unreasonable workload on the teacher or students.
