ABSTRACT
The theoretical concepts and research findings in child development frequently have limited meaning and applicability to young adults who have had little experience with preschool children. Classroom demonstrations, discussions, and practical projects enhance both student interest and retained knowledge (Hartley & McKeachie. 1990: Rose, 1980). The project described in this article forms one of the required assignments for a 2nd-year undergraduate course in developmental psychology.
