ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we provide an overview of the day-to-day analytical process, referring to SPSS (versions 11 and 12) as our example statistical software. Detailed, mechanical descriptions of how to conduct an ANOVA and interpret the output are given later, in Chapter 5. We've removed that central issue from this section so we can concentrate here on the theoretical considerations surrounding analysis, and the ways of achieving your overall goals, since these often get overlooked in the rush to run the ANOVA.
