ABSTRACT
Since constructivist research is emergent research grounded in the particulars of the people and the setting in which the investigation is being undertaken, data analysis must be an ongoing process that begins with the first contact in the field and continues until the final report is returned to the setting. For meaning making, the results of the data analysis must be grounded in the context of the study. Much has been written about grounded theory building (see, for example: Charmaz, 1983; Corbin 8c Strauss, 1990; Glaser, 1978, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995; Glaser 8c Strauss, 1967) and what will be accomplished in constructivist data analysis is a type of grounded theory building; but it will be theory building set in an interpretive paradigm.
