ABSTRACT
Sticky notes are a great way to share comments and praise with a student. If you notice that a typically off-task student is focused on work, just write a sticky note such as “Love the way you are working on this paper!” and casually stick it on the corner of his or her desk. These little reinforcements help to modify behavior because you are giving praise to the student for doing the right thing. These short and sweet notes work especially well for the attention-seeking student.
