ABSTRACT
Sending students to the front office for discipline should be reserved for particularly serious behavioral offenses. Whatever the reason for the trip, you also send an unspoken message to both the student and the administrator. To the administrator it says that you have classroom management issues you cannot control. To the student it says, “I can’t control you.” Do not relinquish your power.
