ABSTRACT
Your school’s Open House, Back-to-School Night, or Meet the Teacher Night is your “debut” with parents. It may be parents’ first impression of you (and perhaps you of them), and it is the perfect opportunity to cultivate a working partnership with your students’ families. For some beginning teachers, this meeting is a little nerve-racking. Even experienced educators can get nervous when it comes to making that first impression or speaking to a group of adults.
