ABSTRACT
When identifying page numbers during a lesson, give the page number orally and visually. Say it aloud and write it on the board or hold up a textbook turned to the appropriate page. Despite the repetition, you are likely to have at least one student ask, “What page?” When that happens, do not respond. Instead, simply point to the number on the board. Students will stop asking and start looking.
