ABSTRACT

Before you post photographs of your student on the class website or publish them in the school newsletter, get consent from the family. Most schools use a release form that allows photos and the student’s name to be released to the media. This form must be kept on file. If your school does not have a form, you can create your own. A sample form is available in the Extras section of this book and at ABC’s Online. If a parent refuses to sign the form, it is your responsibility to ensure that student does not appear in any published photos or articles.
