ABSTRACT

Information on students is critical, as is easily retrieving it. A spreadsheet containing the following information is important to have on hand for emergency situations:

Student name

Parent name (it may differ from the student’s)

Address

Phone numbers (home and mobile)

Referrals to exceptional education programs

Enrollment in exceptional education programs

Grade retentions

State test data (e.g., language arts, math)

Most of this information can be obtained from the student’s registration form or yearly cumulative record. Keep the spreadsheet current and retain copies of it at school and home, because you never know when an emergency situation might occur.
