Rules

For a classroom that functions effectively, you must establish “expectations of appropriate student behavior” (Wong & Wong, 2005, p. 143). The Wongs strongly recommended numerous procedures anchored by three to five core classroom rules as the infrastructure of classroom management. A short list of rules is easy to remember and follow, so establish a few critical rules only for classroom behavior and let procedures help manage the rest (refer to Procedures Pave the Way).
