ABSTRACT
It can try a sane person’s patience! At the primary or elementary level, however, it comes with the territory. Young children tend to tattle, often believing that telling is actually the right thing to do—and it can be, when someone is hurt or involved in a dangerous situation. For every serious report, however, is a string of tattling from a certain few about who said what to whom that may or may not require teacher intervention. That’s not to dismiss incident sharing; only to give it perspective and to address it.
