ABSTRACT
Moving from one curriculum topic to another one does not just happen; teachers must plan transitions. Without planned strategies, transitions can be a classroom management fiasco. It was for one young educator observed by her administrator. Though her well-planned lesson went very well, introducing the next lesson did not, and she struggled to get students refocused on the next lesson—students just did not make the transition.
