ABSTRACT

Many teachers show their sense of humor through quips they make to students. Unfortunately, these remarks often slip into zingers—sarcastic or critical comments meant to be witty, but inappropriate when directed at students. Wit and humor that draw smiles or laughter refresh you and the students. Zingers detract from your professionalism, perhaps putting you at the students’ level, and risk offending someone. Stick to professionalism and wit. Zingers
