You can have fabulous field trips with preparation, planning, and perhaps a bit of creative resourcefulness. With limited school and classroom budgets, field trips may not be on your schedule the first year. If you find yourself in such a situation, set up a virtual field trip for your class. Field trips offer a look at the world outside the classroom, but both out-of-school field trips and virtual excursions require a lot of preparation.
