ABSTRACT

The teacher's written referral to the school psychologist notes a vari ety of problem behaviors in the school setting. For example, Jacob will some times leave the classroom abruptly, ignoring the teacher's reprimand to return to his seat. He is especially likely to do this when the regular teacher is replaced by a substitute. On four occasions while at school Jacob has taken off his outer clothing, leaving him wearing only his underwear and socks. Once this happened with the regular teacher and three times with a substitute. Each time this happened he ignored either teacher's admonish ment to put his clothes back on.
