ABSTRACT
Clinical Features Asthma refers to a chronic respiratory disease characterized by episodic or chronic wheezing, difficulty in breathing, cough, and tightness in the chest. The disease occurs
more frequently in children, but it can persist through adulthood or begin in adulthood. It is estimated that approximately 3 percent of the population has some form of asthma. Men and women are equally affected by this illness.
