ABSTRACT
In earlier chapters we presented representative case studies of incest, rape, and combat survivors to illustrate our self-psychological theory of trauma. However, the explanatory power of our theory must ultimately be tested by the results of its therapeutic application. To demonstrate the therapeutic value of our treatment approach as outlined in chapter Six, we now offer three representative analytic therapy case studies.
