ABSTRACT
Professional journals carry frequent articles informing their members of state-to-state changes in the regulation of the helping professions. Organizational and private registries and certification, as well as an increasing number of state conferred credentials, are in existence. The person practicing counseling must be active in professional organizations to stay informed.
