ABSTRACT

This chapter applies to working with people who are functioning fairly well, but who have an area of difficulty involving sexuality. The five sections overlap with more serious problems discussed in Chapter 6, although they have in common that the distress is part of the usual order of things. These clients may be very unhappy and uncomfortable, suffering from lack of confidence or permission to be normal, believing myths and blocked in their sexual expression, yet the counselor is working with issues which effect many people. In most instances the client is not immobilized.
