Facility Development book
A center in a traditional health/social day care facility may be located in a free-standing clinic or building, be incorporated in a large health or social service agency, or be housed in a hospital or nursing home. These facilities are designed specifically for adult day care programming, and generally have the means to address the needs of participants with extensive functional impairments and medication requirements. They often have specialized rooms designated for specific activities, which may include space for group activities, health services and therapies, dining and meal preparations, and individual activity or breakout space.
