ABSTRACT
Sustainability professionals often guide sustainability planning in the organizations where they work. Such an organization might be a government agency, a school or college, an NGO, or a private company which provides products or services, and it might be small or large. Each is unique, with its particular set of challenges and opportunities, problems and solutions. Sustainability is local and place-based, and the basic strategies are tailored to each organization’s particular situation. However, the same general principles and methods can be adapted and used in any type and size of organization.
