ABSTRACT
It should be remembered, however, that ICT is also taught across the curriculum
and is the responsibility of all teachers. For example, as the standards for newly
qualified teachers (NQTs) state, they should know how to use ICT effectively both to
teach their subject and to support their wider professional role. Moreover, ICT
continues to be a motivating force in learning and is a powerful tool in the repertoire
of skills and resources an effective teacher brings to the process of learning.
