ABSTRACT
In the project presented in this chapter, the children will be using the internet and CD-ROM sources to find things out. It is important that, when accessing websites, they consider the validity and accuracy of the information that they contain. Once information has been located on a website it can be copied and pasted into a document which will form the basis for the web page. To follow the agreed structure for the presentation of information on their web page the children will need to edit and amend the information they have downloaded. There are opportunities for them to practise their speaking and listening skills when working with others to decide on the format for the website they will ultimately produce and in expressing considered and informed judgements about the effectiveness of their own and others’ web pages.
