ABSTRACT

Sponsorship is an all-embracing word. On one level it will include people who agree to give small amounts of money to an individual for completion of a certain task, such as example, a sponsored swim, etc. It also includes those companies, charitable foundations, private trust funds or individuals who pay large amounts of money to have their name emblazoned on an event, an activity, a building, a team or an individual. Sponsorship does not need to be simply a financial contribution. It can be a means of promoting close, ongoing links between schools and relevant outside organizations.
