ABSTRACT

The purpose of this chapter is to illustrate the application, in the personality investigation of individuals, of the principles and rules described in the preceding chapters. It goes without saying that a study of individuals is far more difficult than a study of groups of individuals. It is much easier to discover generalities of satisfactory validity for groups than for individuals. Yet the proof of any method of personality analysis which aims to go beyond group averages lies in the scope as well as reliability and validity of information which it can provide to help arrive at an understanding of any individual’s personality.
