ABSTRACT
This chapter takes a decade-by-decade look at the relationship between tourism and anthropology and identifies common links between ethnographic artefacts and souvenirs collected in Australia during the latter half of the twentieth century. I will achieve this through a survey of anthropological texts that have engaged with tourist art and souvenirs, and plot their influence on the study of souvenirs.
