ABSTRACT

Introduction As already discussed in Chapter 7, kinematics analyses the form, pattern or sequencing of movement with respect to time. The forces that cause this motion are not considered. Angular motion or rotation is concerned with all the points in an object or body that move in a circle about an axis of rotation. All points move through the same angle in the same time. Angular kinematics therefore involves the kinematics of particles, objects or systems undergoing angular motion.
