ABSTRACT

Employers are looking for people who work happily in teams. Soloists may be very useful, but if s/he cannot get on with colleagues, explain and relax in management situations, that person may impede progress. More importantly, teamwork allows the exploration of more material than is possible for an individual. Team members can bounce ideas off each other. Where resources are limited, getting involved in co-operative activities and sharing has benefits for everyone. The skill benefits include teamwork, developing professional standards in presentation, problem solving, negotiation and responsibility.
