ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the knowledge used by VOTE: issues, stances, groups, relationships, bills, members, and strategies. We present examples of the VOTE program, demonstrating the decision-making task, strategies, and explanations. We also discuss certain types of knowledge not present in VOTE.
