ABSTRACT

Most CRT models describe a single process between a residual of afferent and efferent peripheral conduction. They are usually inspired by the notion of a reaction process as a statistical decision. The serial dichotomization model failed to account for CRT, which had the effect that the capacity concept was no longer significant in CRT models. The emphasis of the decision models in this chapter is on stimulus detection and discrimination, on speed-accuracy trade-off (SAT), and on sequential effects on CRT. Due to an aversion to Behaviorism, motor processes are usually not emphasized.
