ABSTRACT
I intend now to review the sampling of my research and thought over the past 50 years, and recapitulate the major themes discussed in the Prologue and elsewhere. My intentions are selectively to pull key issues and ideas together in a historical sense, and to try to reconcile some of the intellectual divisions that exist among social scientists, especially psychologists.
