ABSTRACT
The next level in the computer involves logic operations, which is capable of creating complex conditional statements around the fundamental circuits. A raft of simple individual processing instructions is stored in read-only memory (ROM) as machine code, which in turn provides the first level of ‘language’ the higher-order software needs – the bridge between banks of off/on switches and a useable language. The machine code is normally preset and comes inbuilt with the hardware.
