ABSTRACT

Although the Rorschach can begin to be used in its standard form with most children in the early elementary school years, severely disturbed youngsters present many of the same problems in administering the test encountered with preschoolers (Leichtman and Nathan, 1983; Leichtman, 1988). Their protocols bear some resemblance to those of young children as well. This chapter will explore what can be learned about the Rorschach and its clinical applications from developmental interpretations of the records of four deeply troubled children between the ages of five and eight.
