ABSTRACT
In this chapter, I focus on the problems caused by episodes of severe regression in patients, described in the previous chapter, for whom a combination of vulnerability and analyst mismanagement brings about the episode of regression. This group spans a broad range of patients and includes those who would be diagnosed among the higher level borderline personality organizations, narcissistic personality disorders, and psychoneuroses.
