ABSTRACT

Distributions can differ in size, in central tendency, and they can also differ in variability. The scores in one distribution may be more dispersive, more spread out, than the scores in another distribution. Figure 4.1 shows two distributions of the same size, with the same means, medians, and modes, but differing in variability. Two distributions with the same central tendency but differing in variability.https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780203781777/24eb2e2e-92c2-419c-a785-181a1690a287/content/fig4_1_OB.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/>
