In all cases number and gender agreement is determined by the number and gender of the noun possessed, not of the possessor, so su libro can mean 'his book', 'her book', 'your book' (de usted or de ustedes) or 'their book'. All forms agree in number-mi libro but mis libros-, but only those whose masculine singular ends in -o agree in gender.
