Introduction Psychobiology is concerned with how brain functions shape behaviour (see Focus point 7.1). The brain as part of the nervous system can be investigated at a number of levels. The basic processes of brain activity and functions are addressed within this chapter. However, remember that neuroscience is a dynamic and rapidly changing discipline, and changes in theories will occur.
