ABSTRACT

The criminal law can become complex when more than one person commits the same crime. For example, what if a group of friends agree to break into a property and one of them commits murder? Since they were all working together, are they all guilty of murder?

This chapter will examine the ways in which a person can join and/or assist an offender.

This area of law can therefore be split into two areas: joint enterprise and secondary parties. https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780203784174/0b470d65-8fae-470f-8598-83645e36121d/content/fig05_u1_C.jpg" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/>
