ABSTRACT
Foxe wove his tapestry with great care. He several times rewrote his book, each time documenting the deaths more fully. He is frank and full about his sources, honest about what he doesn't know - and very little of his account has been destroyed by the many attacks on it which lasted until Victorian times.
