ABSTRACT
The legal title to a house was owned by the husband and on the conveyance his name was Erskine Owen Alleyne. His wife registered a Class F land charge against the name Erskine Alleyne. He later granted a mortgage to a finance company who searched against the incorrect name. It was held that the incorrect registration did not affix the finance company with actual notice so that it took priority over the interest of the wife.
