ABSTRACT

The above recitation of a personal history is not presented for narcissistic reasons, but rather to show how superfi cially disparate strains can coexist. It is those strains that I will attempt to integrate in this paper. My purpose is to summarize what I believe to be the

major challenges for intercultural relations research in the near future and how those tasks have implications for the prosecution of military studies on fi elds like prejudice, discrimination, and equal opportunity training.
