ABSTRACT

Information and Communication Technologies (I.C.T.) can be defined as based on digital technologies and advanced technical knowledge (represented by the high intensity of research and development expenditures of the industry), and are developed to support human interactions as well as data storage and processing. I.C.T. industry consists of numerous sub-segments including: consumer electronics, computer systems, professional electronic devices, information networks, information technology services, operating systems and applications (Hammel, Prahalad 1999: 32).
