ABSTRACT
Twenty-one of the respondents had achieved the style of Living Alone. This is the next to the least frequent style. Yet it does represent oneeighth of the panel. If our assumption of comparability on distribution of styles of life in Kansas City and other parts of the country is correct, it would mean that appreciable numbers of people in our culture, fifty and over, have this style.
