ABSTRACT
The second stage of puberty begins with the appearance of the observable secondary sex characteristics. This appearance is the physiological manifestation of the biochemical and hormonal changes which constituted the basis of the first stage of puberty. Of course the physiological states which commence at the latter stage of development continue for many years beyond their initiation.
