ABSTRACT

Counselors and supervisors are the key components of any family preservation program. Without committed staff, programs cannot survive. These jobs are not for everyone. They entail long, unpredictable hours under pressure, dangerous conditions, and human pain. They also involve unsurpassed opportunity for personal growth and for contributing to the growth of others. Our challenge is to find individuals for whom the disadvantages are annoyances and the advantages are what make their lives worthwhile.
